Ms. Lau was appointed a Trustee on December 6, 2022, effective February 1, 2023.
Ms. Lau brings to the Board more than 20 years of executive leadership experience, including as chief executive officer, chief operating officer and director. In 2016, Ms. Lau co-founded Talee Bio, renamed Spirovant Sciences Inc. subsequent to its acquisition, a company focused on the discovery and development of gene therapies for respiratory diseases. Ms. Lau became, and continues as, its Chief Executive Officer. Since 2013, Ms. Lau is co-founder and partner of Militia Hill Ventures, a firm that creates and builds innovative life science entities. Ms. Lau also serves as director of the Philadelphia Orchestra and Kimmel Center, Inc., RiboNova Inc., and Rockwell Medical; and trustee of the University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Lau previously served as director of Renovacor, Inc.
Ms. Lau earned an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a PhD in Medical Neuroscience from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and a BSE in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
